The most common roof to wall intersections involve either a gable roof with its ridge running perpendicular to the wall or a shed roof that slopes downward away from the wall. Hi our sunroom is going to have a pitched 35 degrees roof with rosemary tiles. Lay a thick layer of cement on existing brick work then place the wall plate on this and get a good level. Drill holes at these marks to allow a 6 nail to be driven through the wall plate into the joists.
